Today’s Guest Speaker.....Dr. Norman Smith, President of Dowling College. He has been in Higher Education nearly 45 years and approx 5 months ago, he became President of Dowling College.  He has big plans.....he admitted

that they've experienced a decline of enrollment over the last 5-10 years, but so has EVERY other private university.  Unfortunately, it's a sign of the economic times, but contrary to the bleak picture that Newday portrays, Dowling College is doing just fine.  Mr. Smith's goal however, is to go way beyond that.....he sincerely believes with hard work and proper marketing, Dowling can become one of the top 20 private universities in the country!!  Encouraged everyone to spread the word about Long Island's gem!  Very informative presentation.... thank you to Dr. Norman Smith for joining us today!
