Our general meeting was called to order at 12:15 by President Ryan. Rich Hollborn lead us in the Pledge of Allegiance & Father Rick faithfully inspired us in prayer.

EVERYONE WAS HAPPY TO BE AT THE MEETING, HAPPY FOR TOM CILMI'S RE-ELECTION and.....
John Chinnici was happy that Obamacare will cover chiropractic care....just not sure how much??!
Ellen Hanzl was happy about reconnecting w/ Kerrianne and happy about the recent success of Seatuck's various events!
Ryan Gillies was hapy about his upcoming trip to Key West!!
Cheryl Goveia was happy that her daughter was finally able to get her brace off!
Russ Moran was happy that his favorite international book review said his book was "Wildy entertaining and profoundly moving"!!
Bob Nathan was happy that the Amvets Fundraiser last Friday night was such a huge success....they made double what they were hoping too!!
Phyllis Ozarin was happy that she's being featured in a testimonial shown @ Gold's Gym, about improving the quality of life!

EVERYONE MUST MAKE SURE THEIR DUES ARE PAID - CONTACT TOM LAWLER IF YOU'RE NOT SURE?!
ROTARY CLUB AND EICC are holding a Coat Drive which runs thru the first week of December....any coats can be brought to our meetings!
ISLIP FOOD DRIVE....please bring non-perishable food items to our meetings!!
THE IAC & THE LONG ISLAND AUTHORS GROUP, including our own Russ Moran, will be offering (5) workshops in the Art of Writing...these will be held on Mondays, bet 10-12 @ the Islip Art Museum, Brookwood Hall, beginning 10/28....contact IAC for add'l information.

ROTARY RAFFLE FUNDRAISER...Tix are $10. ea....only 600 tickets being sold(increases your odds of winning, lol)....We are hopeful that each Rotarian can/will sell a minimum of 10 tickets!? This will make alot of money for our club....SELL, SELL, SELL!!!
ANOTHER NEW MEMBER, KERRIANNE ZEINER will be inducted into the club next week, YIPPEE!!
It's going to be a busy and exciting year....be sure to keep an eye on the "Upcoming Events" section for all that's going on!!

Today - NO Speaker....Club Assembly instead...
Ryan asked for club input, ideas, etc....HOT TOPIC was the Community Service Event....seems as though the consensus is to continue with this event, but to change up the venue....dinner is becoming old and perhaps a little too pricey for some??! Will be discussing different options/ideas for an event sometime in the spring. All are encouraged to present their ideas and to volunteer their services!! Another idea was to designate one meeting each month as "Bring a friend to Rotary" meeting... there are still sooooooooo many people who do not know about Rotary and the good things we do...we need to spread the word!! This is also a great way to recruit new members!!

Golf Ball Raffle....Winning ticket was held by Kathy Cooney, but unfortunately, NO YELLOW BALL....just a white one that said " LOSER"!!....oh no, that's not true, you're always a winner in my (our) book!!!....anyway, the pot continues to grow!!
AMOUNT COLLECTED FOR GOLF BALL RAFFLE: $115...the pot now stands @ $803.00

11/21/2013 - Book Club Meeting @ Phyllis' house, 7:30pm - Russ Moran will be there to discuss his new book!
11/25/2013 - Rotary Club of Islip Thanksgiving Baskets...meet @ Stop & Shop, 9am then over to the Irish Coffee Pub parking lot to pack the boxes. FYI...BOXES ARE NEEDED!!
12/13/2013 - Rotary Holiday Party, 6pm @ Clay & Marie Hart's home...Spouses are $25...more details to follow!!
