Guest Speakers:

Steve Flotterman from the Islip Town Council
This is Steve’s 3rd term. There are five business people on the board. They are looking for ways to move forward. Taxes are too
high! Steve has introduced new public and private partnerships with businesses that have resulted in lowering taxes while
encouraging employment. An example is Central Islip Town Parks where a local business person wanted to purchase property
but in a deal that the business person also had to improve the local park. It was a win- win for everyone. MacArthur Airport has
two new airlines that will help local businesses expand. The board is also helping to clean up neighborhoods by cleaning up
abandon properties in our neighborhoods. 175 houses have so far cleaned up with more being added to the list.
Thank you Steve, it was great having you and we look forward to seeing you again in the future ;-)
