Our general meeting was called to order at 12:15 by President Ryan. We said the Pledge of Allegiance & Pastor Mike Staneck faithfully inspired us with prayer.

EVERYONE WAS HAPPY TO BE AT THE MEETING, HAPPY TO CONGRATULATE/WELCOME OUR NEWEST MEMBER, FRAN SIEMS AND HAPPY THAT OUR FIRST ANNUAL HALLOWEEN PARTY WAS SUCH A BIG SUCCESS....

UPDATE ON WARREN GOERCKE......Let's continue to keep him in our prayers and hope that we'll see him soon!!
CONGRATULATIONS to our newest member, Fran Siems, who was inducted today!!
OUR FIRST ANNUAL HALLOWEEN PARTY was a big success....lots of fun had by all!!! Congratulations to the lucky Leprechaun, John Chinnici, who won the best costume award!! Thanks to all who attended/donated and/or helped out!!
EVERYONE MUST MAKE SURE THEIR DUES ARE PAID - CONTACT TOM IF YOU'RE NOT SURE!!
ROTARY CLUB AND EICC are holding a COAT DRIVE which runs thru the first week of December...coats can be brought to our meetings!
ISLIP FOOD DRIVE...please bring non-perishable food items to our meetings!!
BOXES are needed for the Thanksgiving Baskets.....if anyone has any, please save them!
THE IAC & THE LONG ISLAND AUTHORS GROUP, including our own Russ Moran, will be offering (5) workshops in the Art of Writing....these will be held on Mondays, bet 10-12 @ the Islip Art Museum, Brookwood Hall, beginning 10/28......contact Islip Arts Council for add'l information.
It's going to be a busy and exciting year......be sure to keep an eye on "Upcoming Events" section for all that's going on!!
Program Director, Russ Moran mentioned that if anyone has any ideas for guest speakers, DO NOT BOOK the speaker without speaking to Russ before-hand!!

Today’s Guest Speaker.....Steve Levy, Executive Director of the Center for Cost Effective Government......working to enhance government efficiency and save taxpayers' money......discussing Pensions, Law Enforcement and elimination of the Triborough Amendment...thank you for an informative presentation!

Golf Ball Raffle......Winning ticket was held by our newest member, Fran Siems, but unfortunately, NO YELLOW BALL....just a white one that said "TOM BALL"!!?? HMMMMMMMMM, VERY INTERESTING, LOL!!
AMT. COLLECTED FOR GOLF BALL RAFFLE: $85.00.....the pot increases to $570.00

11/1/2013 - AMVETS Fundraiser @ Eagle Golf, Bay Shore, 6pm...tickets are $25ea....Bob Nathan says, "It's a deal and a half"....8 local restaurants have agreed to contribute food for the event... there will be a putting contest, longest drive contest etc. Will be loads of fun....don't miss out!!
11/17/2013 - Special Event @ Barnes & Noble, Bay Shore - Islip Arts Council Day, 9am - 9pm....offering author signings, incl our own Russ Moran + games, music, an demonstrations.... be sure to stop by and check it out!!
