- The Halloween Party is going to be held at Seatuck again on October 17 (from 7pm to 11pm). Another great party for
only $75 per person – with an open bar and good food. WE DO NEED RAFFEL BASKETS and sponsors, if you can donate, please see Ryan or Clay.
- Bob reported that the Taste of Long Island will be raising money for the Gift of Life. October 8th 7pm to 10 pm at Appliance World in Huntington. This event has always been a lot of fun and the food is
wonderful!! We look forward to supporting the Gift of Life while pigging out on great food ;-)
- Tom Lawler helped Bob with the Veteran’s Day at the VA in Northport. He said his experience was one to share. They helped about 175 homeless veterans in need of housing, food, employment, haircuts and more. Bob reported that our Rotary District did a wonderful job showing support for this worthy cause but more volunteers are needed. Tom said he felt so good about helping that he is encouraging other Rotarians to do the same next year. Great job Tom and Bob!! You make us look good ;-)
- Amvets also helps veterans with a monthly breakfast. For more information about Amvets, visit www. Amvets.org.
- We did not have a speaker and had an assembly.
- Thank you to Clay and James who helped with the happy dollars and gold ball raffles.
Special Guests: We welcomed Barbara from New Momentum Assisted Living along with her son, Phil. Denise Kondas and Liz Mayott were also attending another meeting with hopes of soon becoming a member.

10-17-14 (Friday) Rotary Club of Islip Halloween Party at Seatuck &pm to 11pm) $75 pp – open bar.
10‐26‐14 Halloween Party for the family. Shandon Court East Islip 11 am‐ 2pm. FREE > Fun –food – games.

Happy Dollars: Dennis was happy to make the meeting after coming from work. Merri was happy Dennis was working. Karen S was happy for our Jewish friends celebrating a Happy New year. Russ was happy about the posting Bob did about Rotary which was very touching. Bob was happy about Rotary. Sue Z was happy her son is doing well is school. Tom L was happy to help Bob at the VA. Clay was happy for a nice weekend. James was happy for our guests. Fran was just happy. Ryan was happy his brother was getting married this past weekend

The almost Golf Ball winner: Russ picked a ball saying “pay $5. And pick again” and he did. He then got a ball saying “dirty ball.”- Better luck next time.
